Costs and Cancellations
You must be a paid up member of IVS at the time you apply to go on a project. Membership runs for 12 months from your date of joining. If you are not a paid up member, please include the membership fee with your project registration fee when you send in your application.

Our membership and registration fees are the same for all IVS projects (Short Term and Long Term).

Cancellation Policy
Acceptance of our refund policy is a condition of your application. We assume that you will be interested in the choices you put down, so only apply for projects that you will accept a place on. Only select choices that you want to do. We will do all we can to place you on a project but we cannot refund you if you are placed on a project of your choice and you then change your mind!
In all cases of cancellation/non-acceptance, you will continue to be a member of IVS for 12 months from your date of joining and receive newsletters and information about our work.
Refund Policy
Your payment is made up of 2 parts:
- the membership fee
- the project registration fee.
In all cases, your membership fee will be retained by IVS.
Full Refund
You will receive a full refund of your registration fee if:
- We are unable to place you on any of the projects you have applied for (e.g. because they are all full or dates have changed).
- If your project is cancelled and if there are no alternative choices. (We will do whatever we can to try to find you a place on an alternative project).
IVS is a small non-profit organisation and cannot accept any liability for any costs incurred or inconvenience caused in the event of cancellation of a project.
Partial Refund

| If you do not accept a place offered to you on one of the projects you have applied for or if you pull out due to unforeseen circumstances which prevent you from being able to take part | An admin fee of £25 will be deducted from your registration fee. 70% of the remaining amount will be refunded | 4+ weeks before start date of the project |
| If you do not accept a place offered to you on one of the projects you have applied for or if you pull out due to unforeseen circumstances which prevent you from being able to take part | An admin fee of £25 will be deducted from your registration fee. 50% of the remaining amount will be refunded | 2-4 weeks before start date of the project |

This is at the discretion of IVS and we will ask for relevant documentation.
