IVS GB is a membership organisation and our activities are strongly supported and developed by our membership base.
Get Involved
How about...
- Writing articles for our E-zine 'Interactions'.
- Set up your own local group
- Promote IVS through the student networks or via our Facebook site
- Represent IVS at regional careers fairs and events.
- Organising IVS events, preparation days, working group meetings, autumn gatherings.
- Supporting fundraising activities, such as sponsored runs, social evenings.
- Join SCI working groups on North/South Solidarity, SAVA (Balkan Region group), Midi (dealing with countries around the Mediterranean and Middle East).
- Visiting and evaluating GB projects or co-ordinating a project.
You are welcome to take part in all aspects of our work. There are lots of opportunities to get involved in with our activities in Great Britain and internationally. We always welcome new people wishing to become actively involved and helping IVS to raise awareness of global issues.
You can join one of the special interest working groups, or support solidarity campaigns, educational seminars, for example, attending training events and skill development, and participate in international seminars. This can open up exciting opportunities for individuals, so please explore what you can do with IVS.
We very much hope that you will find IVS activities that support and develop your own interests and as a membership organisation, we hope that you will be able to actively support and participate in our work.
Your membership entitles you to:
- a free copy of our brochure (printed annually in March),
- a copy of our regular E-newsletter 'Interactions',
- the right to vote at official IVS meetings,
- opportunity to attend international seminars,
- invites to social events run by IVS.
